Rock Creek Ranch has helped mold several young people for the future through teaching FFA and 4-H students
about raising BEEF! We are committed to teaching about BEEF because these are lessons that last a
lifetime. Our classes cover everything from genetics to selection, animal feeding, health care, halter
breaking, clipping, washing, show ring preparation, showmanship, and carcass.
While most of our students will not become ranchers, they will all take knowledge of the cattle
business into the future. Through on-the-ranch, hands-on learning experiences, they become industry
ambassadors with a positive message about BEEF and the production of food products.
If you know a young person interested in learning about BEEF production, fitting, and showing,
fill out the form on the lodge page, and say you are interested in the BEEF program. The Rock
Creek Ranch Fitting and Showing Program is for everyone who wants to learn right from the ranch
and not just from a fitting clinic.
Though our training programs, we have helped several steer gain the title, "Steer of Merit,"
from the Montana Stockgrowers Association.
